Consumptive water requirement~ for a fossil fueled steam electric station
are approximately 7000 A.F. per year for a 500 MW plant. The amount of
generation that the Hinman Park Reservoir and associated rights would support
depends on many factors not yet determined, including:
A. Average annual dependable supply of water made available for
consumptive use as a result of the final decrees for the reservoir
and pumping station.
B. Storage and transmission losses to an ultimate point of use.
C. Restrictions placed on operation of reservoir, if any.

4. Although ultimate utilization of water supplied by the reservoir would be

at a basically uniform rate, variations of reservoir elevation would occur

because of seasonal weather conditions, variation of annual precipitation

amounts, water delivery schedules to the point of use which might or might not

incorporate additional short-term storage, and restrictions which might be

imposed on the operation of the reservoir or the regulation of the river.

Generally, the reservoir would be replenished during winter and spring periods,

and water storage would decline during summer and fall periods.

5.
