(Some of the data used <br />In the regression equations are from basins entirely outside of Kansas.) <br />Only drainage areas larger than 10 sq mi are Included in these illustra- <br />tions. ~he graphs show that the data used in the regression equations <br />cover nearly the complete range of combinations of Independent variables, <br />except for the extremes of drainage area, However, within the range of <br />individual variables are certain combinations that are not represented; <br />for example, on figure 6 the basin having a mean annual precipitation of <br />43 inches and a main channel length of 16 miles Is within the extremes for <br />Kansas but outside the extremes for the regression equations.
