Based on results of the November 8-
10, 1994, Work Group meeting, the primary factors to be considered
during the screening process will include contaminants and the
willingness of property owners to cooperate. Other factors to be
considered (because of federal directives regarding acquisition
requirements) will include cultural resources, other threatened and
endangered species, and other fish and wildlife resources; and
public opinion and issues of area residents. Ouring the screening
process, some sites may be dropped from the list; some sites may be
put on hold pending further investigation; and some sites may pass
the tests. New sites may be added to replace sites which have been
dropped or put on hold. Ultimately, a sufficient number of sites of
suitable quality will be necessary if we intend to achieve self-
sustaining razorback populations.

Those sites which have passed the screening tests will be considered
qualified for acquisition and restoration. Acquisition and/or
restoration proposals will be reviewed by the Work Group, Floodplain
Habitat Restoration Program Coordinator, Capital Projects
Coordinator, Biology Committee, Management Committee, and Program

9
