<br />LA <br /> <br />In general, I would recommend that floodplain properties which flood <br />at lower flows would be higher priority than those which require <br />higher flows; depressions that are "easily connectable and <br />drainable" would be higher priority than terraces; and areas with <br />properties available on both sides of the river would be higher <br />priority than areas with property available only on one side of the <br />river. All candidate properties would need to pass the screening <br />tests, of course. <br /> <br />For some of the properties which contain depressions, sites could be <br />constructed and managed in a manner similar to Old Charlie Wash or <br />that proposed for Leota L-7. For other depressions and for <br />terraces, no construction or management may be necessary, except <br />when removal of structures (e.g., dikes, levees, rip-rap, etc.) is <br />warranted. <br /> <br />VII.
