IJater Supply

During the 1973-741'Tater year (October 1 through September 30),
3,270,000 acre-fcGt flOWGd past LeG Ferry, the Colorado River Compact
point. The major Upper Basin rGservoirs, FontGnGlle plus the CRSP
Reservoirs, increasGd in storage by 605,000 acrG-fGet while other USBR
resel'voirs and the transbasin diversion reservoirs decreased in storage
by 362,000 acre-feet, for a net increase of 221,000 acre-feet. After
adjusting for these reservoir changes, the flow at Lee Ferry would
have been 3,491,000 acrG-feet. The Bureau of Reclamation estimates
that if there had been no man-made depletions upstream, the virgin
flo\! of the Colorado River at Lee Ferry would have been about 12,:316,000
acre-feet.
The 1973-7/, 'Irater year 'lIas the twelfth year since the closing of
River Compact vas met, i. e., that the states of the Upper Division
shall not cause the flow of the Colorado RivGr at Lee Ferry to be
depleted below an aggregate of 75,000,000 acre-feet for any period
