The drainage basin is approximately 1,990 square miles. A continuous <br /> <br /> <br />period of record extends from September 1910 through May 1965. Gage records <br /> <br /> <br />are considered good, except for the winter periods in years 1961 through 1964, <br /> <br /> <br />which are poor. Irrigation diversions and major transbasin diversions affect <br /> <br /> <br />the flows at the gage. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Navajo River at Edith <br /> <br /> <br />The gage is located 0.15 mile southwest of Edith and 0.5 mile upstream <br /> <br /> <br />from the Colorado-New Mexico State line, in Section 24, Township 32 North, <br /> <br /> <br />Range 1 West. The drainage area is approximately 172 square miles. The period <br /> <br /> <br />of record extends from September 1912 through 1985. Records are good, except <br /> <br /> <br />those in winter, periods, which are poor. Diversions for in-basininigation and <br /> <br /> <br />major transbasin diversions affect the flows at the gage. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Rio Blanco near PaRosa Springs <br /> <br /> <br />The gage was located 12.5 miles southeast of Fagosa Springs and 0.4 <br /> <br /> <br />mile upstream from Leche Creek, in Section I, Township 34 North, Range 1 <br /> <br /> <br />East. The drainage area is 58 square miles. The period of record is from May <br /> <br /> <br />1935 through November 1971. Records are good except those for winter periods, <br /> <br /> <br />which are poor. Diversions for inigation occur above the station. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Rio Blanco Below Blanco Diversion Dam, Near PllRosa Springs <br /> <br /> <br />The gage is located 12 miles southeast of Fagosa Springs, 250 feet down- <br /> <br />stream from the Blanco Diversion Dam of the San Juan-Chama Project, and <br /> <br /> <br />1.1 mile downstream from Leche Creek, in Section 11, Township 34 North, Range <br /> <br /> <br />1 East. The drainage area is approximately 69 square miles. The period of <br /> <br /> <br />record extends from March 1971 through 1985. No information is available <br /> <br /> <br />as to the quality of the flow records.
