Construction <br />activities have the potential to both facilitate dispersal of noxious weeds, and also create suitable <br />disturbed sites that would facilitate spread of noxious Weeds. <br /> <br />To address this potential impact, the following mitigation will be required: <br />. Noxious weeds, such as salt cedar and Russian knapweed, present within areas that will have <br />ground disturbance will be removed and propetly disposed of to avoid further contamination. <br />. All areas disturbed during construction activiti~s will be recontoured and seeded using native <br />grasses. <br />. 'Concentrated areas of Russian knapweed adjac'ent to the construction area will be identified <br />and equipment travel in these areas will be avoided by placing fencing or using similar <br />measures to discourage entry. <br /> <br />20 <br />
