<br />sees. 26 and 27, T. 32 N., R. 8 E., on left bank 0.9 mile south of New Mexico-Colorado State line,
<br />2.1 miles southwest of Ortiz, and 2.9 miles upstream from mouth. Altitude of gage is 8,040 ft.

<br />Drainage area.-167 sq mi.
<br />Avera~e dischar~e.--59 years (1915-20, 1925-77), 119 cfs (86,210 acre-ft per year).

<br />Extremes.--i915-20, 1925-77: Maximum discharge, 3,160 cfs May 12, 1941 (gage height, 5.77 ft,
<br />site and datum then in use), from rating curve extended above 1,600 cfs; minimum observed,

<br />2.1 miles north of Lasauses. Datum of gage on main channel is 7.495.02 ft and on secondary (south)
<br />channel is 7.496.89 ft above mean sea level (levels by Bureau of Reclamation).
