<br />At this forum, interested persons may submit written comments or <br />may orally present their views. Western representatives may ask clari- <br />fying questions of the speakers. It is desiraole that those wishing to <br />comment at the forum submit a written request to the Area Manager by <br />December 11, 1981 so a speaker list can be developed. Box 11606 <br />Salt Lake City, Utah 84147 <br /> <br />Others will be allowed to speak if time is available. The forum <br />will be transcribed, and copies will be available upon request from the <br />firm providing the service. <br /> <br />The public information forum of November 19, 1981 is des igned to <br />give interested persons the opportunity to quest ion Western representa- <br />tives, while the public comment forum of December 17, 1981 is designed to <br />give an opportunity for Western represent at ives to hear from interested <br />persons. <br /> <br />D. <br />comments <br />period. <br /> <br />Written Corrments. After the consultation and comment <br />period, the Administrator of Western will review the comments and will <br />decide as to the most appropriate option to use. The Administrator will <br />announce a proposed rate and will afford interested persons at least 30 <br />days to submit written corrments and may convene one or more additional <br />public information and/or public comment forums, <br /> <br />F, Decision on Proposed or Revised Proposed Rates. Following the <br />end of the consultation and comment period and the end of any other sub- <br />sequent comment periods, the Assistant Secretary for Conservation and <br />Renewable Energy will review all the information gathered in the proceed- <br />ings and decide whether the proposed rate should be approved and pl aced <br />in effect on an interim basis (Provisional Rate). The decision will be <br />announced to the public, along with an explanation of the principal fac- <br />tors leading to the decision. <br /> <br />G. Final Decision on the Rate Adjustment. The Assistant <br />Secretary will submit to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) <br />all the information concerning the Provisional Rate.
