the water rights of Twin Lakes Reservoir and Canal Company which

received water frow the Roaring Fork River, one of the diversion

streams. This matter was resolved when it was agreed that water
from Hunter Creek would be diverted to Twin Lakes in the same

amount as the water being diverted from the Roaring Fork.
Also of consequence was the fact that people of the Western
Slope dia not favor Ruedi Reservoir, which they fel~ would in-
terfer witn tneir Blue South Platte Project, so Aspen Reservoir

was used as a replacement for Huedi Heservoir. The purpose
of this reservoir was to store water which would be used for

replacement purposes in Western Colorado. ThG final problem
or event was the changing of the name of the Project from Gun-

ni.son-Arkansas to Fryingpan A!'kansas. This was done so people

would not feel that the entire program was being pushed, just

the Fryingpan-Arkansas which was being stressed as an entire

project in and of itself.

To review briefly, the major accomplishments of the

Policy and Review Committee were; (1) to subst itute Aspen

Reservoir for Ruedi Reservoir, (2) resolve the water rights of

Twin I,akes Reservoir, and Canal Company, (3) settle thl question

of minimum stream flows, and (.4) changing the name of tne project

from the Gunnison-Arkansas Project to the Pryingpan-Arkansas Project.
