(Illustration 5.) They assembled avail.
able data and prepared an orderly report of findings.
Fourteen work groups were organized and lead agencies designated for each. The
lead agency had the prime responsibility for gathering and writing the appendix
material with the help of all participating agencies.
The comprehensive framework plan is the coordinated result of the the efforts of
participants from various federal and state agencies in the Great Basin Region frame.
work study. It does not necessarily reflect the programs or viewpoints of any partie.
ular agency or state. The several states are currently in various stages of preparation
of state water plans. While there is general agreement concerning basic data and
1965 levels of development, the completed state water plans will undoubtedly re-
flect significant differences with this framework plan due to differences in projec.
tion and interpretation of future demands.

COMPREHENSIVE FRAMEWORK STUDY
THOSE WHO HELPED

DEPARTMENT OF
WATER RESOURCES

BEAR RIVER COMMISSION

UPPER COLORADO COMMISSION

LOCAL PEOPLE
THROUGHOUT THE
REGION

DIVISION OF WATER RESOURCES
GEOLOGICAL AND MINERALOGICAL SURVEY
DIVISION OF PARKS AND RECREATION
FISH AND GAME DIVISION
STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT
OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL

CALIFORNIA - NEVADA
INTERSTATE COMPACT
COMMISSION

STATE ENGINEER'S OFFICE
STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT
RECREATION COMMISSION
FISH AND GAME COMMISSION

FEDERAL

DEPARTMENT OF AGfUCUL TURE
ECONOMIC RESEARCH SERVICE
FOREST SERVICE
SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
CORPS OF ENGINEERS
DEPARTMENT OF HEAL TH EDUCATION
AND WELFARE
PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE

DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR
GEOLOGICAL SURVEY
BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS
BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT
BUREAU OF MINES
NATIONAL PARK SERVICE
BUREAU OF RECLAMATION
BUREAU OF SPORT FISHERIES AND WILDLIFE
OFFICE OF REGIONAL SOLICITOR
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
FEDERAL POWER COMMISSION

Illustration 5

5
