<br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Once the work described above is complete, the data from the field information sheet <br />is entered into a computer database, reviewed for errors, and added to the database for the <br />inventory of wells, currently named WS2. (Note: The WS2 database was provided to the <br />state of Kansas in September of 1995). The WS2 database establishes the strocture <br />identification number for each well and serves as a link with other administrative dala. <br /> <br />To keep data current, the 1994 Measurement Rules and 1996 Use Rules require well <br />users to submit power meter numbers and power account numbers. Section 37-90-143, <br />C.R.S., passed by the Colorado Legislature in 1994, requires a change of ownership be filed <br />with the State Engineer any time ownership changes for a well. When replacement wells are <br />necessary, a replacement well permit must be approved by the State Engineer. Additional <br />staff in the field will be continuously monitoring wells and their usage, with an emphasis on <br />field verification. <br /> <br />8 <br />
