<br />Coronado RC&DArea <br /> <br />The Coronado RC&D office was consolidated with the Lower Colorado <br />RC&D office under one coordinator. The new office is located in <br />Tucson, and was staffed in May 1984. <br /> <br />Work is continuing on the 8enson Critical Area Treatment Measure, <br />which should be completed in FY-85. The Patagonia CAT measure, which <br />was completed last year, was damaged by floods in October of last <br />year, The treated area was protected by the measure, and no <br />additional erosion took place. Repairs to the project should be <br />comp 1 eted thi s fall. <br /> <br />Progress was made on a number of associated measures, including a <br />regional vandalism deterrent program, a shooting range to serve two <br />communities, and development of a park-arboretum which will serve <br />as a regional resource to educate citizens about using native <br />plants for landscaping and other uses. <br /> <br />Lower Colorado RC&D Area <br /> <br />The Mohawk Valley School Water Quality Measure has been planned, <br />and construction will be done in the fall of 1984, Planning is <br />nearing completion on the Aha Quinn water-based recreation measure. <br />Construction will take place in FY-85. <br /> <br />The Council is pursuing a number of associated measures, and <br />recently adopted two new flood prevention measures for communities <br />in the northern Yuma County area. <br /> <br />.IFORNIA: High Sierra RC&D Area <br /> <br />Bear Review RC&D Critical Area Treatment Measure Units 2 and 3 <br />were completed in FY-84, <br /> <br />North Cal-Neva RC&D Area <br /> <br />Big Valley-Willow Creek Critical Area Treatment Measure was <br />installed in September 1983. <br /> <br />The Boulder Meadow Critical Area Treatment Measure installation <br />began in December 1983. <br /> <br />Plans and Specifications are being developed for the construction <br />of the Pine Creek Recreation and Fish and Wildlife Enhancement <br />Measure. Construction is planned for FY-B4. <br /> <br />Central Coast RC&D <br /> <br />Pinto Lake Recreation and Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Measure-- <br />Construction on Phase II is underway. <br /> <br />The Measure plan for Pismo Marsh Fish and Wildlife Enhancement <br />Measure was completed in September 1983. SCS and California <br />Department of Fish and Game are working on the design. Construction <br />is scheduled for FY-B5. <br /> <br />\)~ 14 <br />
