The inspection
was conducted jointly by the SCS, Nevada Division of Water Resources
(State Engineer's Office) and the City of Elko. The structures,
which were constructed about 1970, were found to be in good condition
and functioning as designed, with the exception of sediment in the
conduit on one structure. This inspection was a fOllow-up of the
inspection by the Corps of Engineers in 1978 (and will be repeated
at 5-year intervals, as required by SCS policy). The City of Elko
and SCS will conduct less intensive inspections on an annual basis.

Upper North Laramie Watershed

Construction of the multi-purpose floodwater retarding/irrigation/
recreation reservoir will be completed yet this fall. The instal-
lation of the basic recreation facilities are also expected to be
built this fall. Improvement of the fisheries in the watershed
above the structure will be accomplished by a fish-kill/restocking
program to begin this fall and completed in the spring of 1985 in
cooperation with the Wyoming Fish & Game Department.

Douglas Watershed

Field survey work and construction plans are being developed for
this watershed project planned to prevent flooding currently being
experienced by the Town of Douglas.
