<br />Colorado River Augmentation <br /> <br />Vernon Valantine reported on the status of the PSIAC request to the <br /> <br /> <br />Secretary of Agriculture for a plan of study to augment stream flow <br /> <br /> <br />through vegatative and snow pack management. The U.S Forest Service <br /> <br />(USFS), in coordination with the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), will <br /> <br /> <br />explore the feasibility of such a plan. The USFS expects to complete <br /> <br /> <br />initial discussions and respond to PSIAC in the near future. (The Task <br /> <br /> <br />Committee on Augmentation of the Colorado River met at 9:00 a.m. on <br />/ <br /> <br />September 20. Minutes at that meeting are on page ~~). The Task <br /> <br /> <br />Committee will provide USFS a coordinated state position paper on <br /> <br />recommended elements to be included in the proposed study. <br /> <br />Colorado River Data Collection Network <br /> <br />Tom Bowers presented a status report on the enhancement of the <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado data collection network. Details are included in the Department <br /> <br /> <br />of Commerce Annual Report in Part D. <br /> <br />Election of Chairman for FY 1985 <br /> <br />The State of Nevada indicated a willingness, and was unanimously <br /> <br /> <br />elected, to serve as chair agency of the Executive Subcommittee for FY <br /> <br />1985.
