<br />003336 <br /> <br />PART C <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Executive Subcommittee Meeting <br />September 20, 1984 <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Phillip Frank Dunn, Chairman, called the Executive Subcommittee <br /> <br />meeting to order at 1:00 p.m., September 20, 1984 in the Conference Room <br /> <br /> <br />of the <br /> <br /> <br />Quality Inn, San Francisco, California. <br /> <br />Introductions <br /> <br />Self introductions were <br /> <br />made <br />~. <br /> <br />by each participant. <br /> <br />A list of those in <br /> <br />attendance is shown on page <br /> <br />Agenda Change <br /> <br />Due to a flight delay, the scheduled presentation by Tom Bowers was <br />moved to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />CRFS Coordination <br /> <br />Barry Saunders, Utah, reported on the September 18, 1984 meeting of <br /> <br />the Colorado River Forecasting Service (CRFS) Technical Committee meeting <br /> <br /> <br />held in Salt Lake City, Utah. CRFS procedures for determining run-off <br /> <br /> <br />forecasts and uncertainty factors were explained. A report and <br /> <br />recommendation for 1985 is expected in about 45 days (Nov 84). States <br /> <br /> <br />expressed concern that the uncertainty factors are too high, and asked <br /> <br /> <br />they be reduced. A decision was made at the meeting to operate the system <br /> <br />in 1985 with the same procedures used in 1984. Legislation is being <br /> <br /> <br />considered that would prohibit Federal assistance for flood damages caused <br /> <br />by flows of 40,000 cfs or lower, in an effort to discourage development in <br /> <br />the flood plain. <br /> <br />C-l <br /> <br />,1.~ <br />
