Active standing committees are <br />the standing committees on Exchange o~ Program In~ormation and <br />Environmental Resources. The overall ~unctional charges to these <br />committees are listed in Appendix 1. <br /> <br />Ad hoc committees may be appointed on a short-term basis to deal <br />with special transitory technical policy problems. An ad hoc <br />committee on the 1975 Assessment was ~ormed at the April 1972 <br />meeting and was composed o~ members ~rom each state and ~ederal <br />agency. The ad hoc committee on the 1975 Assessment was given <br />standing committee status as the Comprehensive Planning Committee <br />in anticipation o~ continuing activity. <br /> <br />.-2- <br />
