<br />19~ During 1963 construction will continue on the embanlmtent ,power-
<br />house substructure, spillway, turbines and generators. Work on the

<br />July 1963 ldth first power about a year later.

<br />Progress nas made on ,.rork on the Bank Stabilization and Navigation
<br />Project from Sioux City to the moU'ETi; By the end of Fiscal Year 1963
<br />it is estimated that above Omaha the project ,.!ill be about. 74 percent
<br />complete and below 0mal1a, about 95 percent complete. Although the 1961
<br />season was about five weeks shorter than 1960, the commercial tonnage
<br />. increased 9 percent over the previous year to 1,575,000 tons. Studies
<br />. of the Decatur Bend Cutoff Here completed and the report was forwarded
<br />to Congress. -

<br />Construction l,rork on one Agricultural Levee Project unit is underuay,
<br />and construction of severa! more units is expected to be started in
<br />Fiscal Years 1963 and 1964. Restudy of the project is progressing.
