MR. DUNN: Right. I'm Darwin Dunn, President of the

4 Pot Hook Conservancy District, and I just want to, not as a

5 rebuttal but for the record. the largest portion of the money

6 coming from this project is coming from power generated on the

7 Upper Colorado. or the Colorado River Basin compact. Also the

8 water users will have to pay for this project. Also it is not

9 as such a tax upon the people, and all I would like to say is

10 that we on the snake River, speaking now more as a rancher, we

11 need this water and we need it to stay within this basin. I

12 think the concept of putting the water to use in the basin of its

13 origin should be followed in all water projects, or all water'

14 diversions, and we have supported this project and we always

15 will. I think it's necessary for us to keep our water, and we

16 treat this project as one project. It straddles the state lines

17 and we don't even consider that state line. The two conservancy

18 districts have always worked together and will continue to work

19

together.

We appreciate the people taking time to come hereon
