My name is Roland G. Robison Jr. I'm the Assistant

8 Regional solicitor for the United States Department of the

9 Interior located in Salt Lake city. and I have been asked to

10 conduct this public hearing today on the Draft Environmental

11 Statement for the Savery-Pot Hook project. Mr. David L. Crandall,

12 Regional Director of the Bureau of Reclamation, is seated at

13 the table to my right, and he's here to listen to views and

14 opinions of all interested parties. His purpose is to listen

15 and he is not here for the purpose of answering questions. This

16 hearing is designed SO that he may receive public comments, views
.

17 and suggestions on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for

18 the proposed Savery-Pot Hook project in Wyoming and Colorado.

19 Copies of the Draft Statement have been distributed for public

20 review since September 29. 1976. Copies are available here for

21 your inspection in the event that you haven't already seen one.

22 A hand out has also been made available giving some details on

23 the project and procedural instructions for this hearing. .As
