Irrigable lands are in Morgan, Logan, Washington, and Sedgwick Counties. Narrows Dam and nearly all of the reservoir area are in Morgan County. A. small portion of the flood control pool extends into Weld County. PLAN New construction for the unit will consist only of the potential Narrows Dam and Reservoir to serve the functions of irrigation, flood control, recreation, fish-wildlife enhancement, and improvement of water quality. Storage water would be released as necessary from the reservoir to supplement irrigation within the service area, totaling 166,370 acres, of the Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District. Supplemental relea.ses will be conveyed downstream in the river channel to the diversion works of existing irrigation systems. No Federal construc- tion of irrigation distribution facilities would be involved. Specific lands and facilities, including the existing Jackson Lake would be required for recreation and fish and wildlife purposes. Minimum down- stream flows for water quality control and fish requirements, \;auld be met by reservoir seepage, stream accretions, and return flows. Future control of Bijou Creek floods could be attained by the construction of diversion facilities and revised reservoir operating criteria.
