The Great Plains Reservoirs And Canals

Storage in these reservoirs throughout the early part of the 1969
season Yt3S small. However, the wet summer and fall produced con-
ditions favorable to .!.toragc and as a result, Nee No She, Sweetwater, and
Queen Reservoirs now hold over 75,000 acre feet. This water will provide
an important source of supply for Amity during the IH70 season.

The large dragline and dozer were used to re-vamp the Satanta Canal
during the summer, About H miles of this canal were cleaned and enlarged.
I"\earl,y 30,nf)O cu. yd. of material was removed. The canal is now in ex-
cellent condition More work was done on both the Kicking Bird and Comanche
Canals.
