<br />Chapter 4 - Reallocations <br /> <br />4-7 <br /> <br />c. SUGGESTED CO~~ENTS OF A REALLOCATION REPORT <br /> <br />1. Purpose. <br /> <br />a. Who is requestinq the M&I water supply and the amount of <br />storaqe involved. (Describe the city or industry that is requesting the storage and <br />indicate how the water usage is projected to grow over the planning period. State the <br />amount of storage that is under consideration in this report for reallocation.) <br /> <br />b. What is the authority for the reallocation; will it be <br />discretionary or will it require Conqressional approval. Vndware <br />the approval level for the repoJt and reason for selection of that level; e.g., "Approval <br />of this reallocation study for 50,000 acre-feet of storage from the hydropower pool is <br />within the discretion of the Commander, USACE, as it is 7.75 percent of total storage <br />and the impacts of the reallocation will not seriously affect the existing project purposes <br />nor will it cause major structwal or operational changes.'7 <br /> <br />2. Proiect Backqround. <br /> <br />a. Proiect authorization, construction and operation <br />historv. (Cite authorizing Public Law, House and/or Senate Documents, and <br />authorized project purposes. Tell when project construction started, when it was placed <br />in operation and when the top of the multipurpose pool elevation was reached. Tell the <br />date hydropower was placed in-service (if appropriate) and any other pertinent <br />operating information. Describe the type of construction used, dam dimensions, <br />information on the spi/fway, and characteristics of the reservoir area.) <br /> <br />b. Proi ect location, purposes and outouts. (Tell location of the <br />project with respect to cities and drainage basins and provide a location map. Describe <br />purposes for which the project is currently operating. If different from those authorized <br />(see above paragraph 2a), explain. Provide a pertinent data table (see Table 4-3 for <br />an example.)) <br />
