Roggen, Colorado is approximately 8 miles <br /> <br />to the south. The fee taking for the reservoir extends westward to a point opposite <br /> <br />the Town of Kersey, Colorado. Kersey lies approximately 8 miles east of <br /> <br />Greeley. :rhe flood easement area extends westward approximately 2 additional <br /> <br />miles to a point approximately 1/8 of a mile east of the confluence of the Cache <br /> <br />Le poudre and South Platte Rivers. <br /> <br />The proposed Weld County Dam site is situated approximately 24 airline <br /> <br />miles west of the proposed Narrows Dam site. The distance between the Weld <br /> <br />County Dam site and the westerly extension of the proposed Narrows Reservoir <br /> <br />(flood easement) is approximately 10 miles. <br />The proposed dam site lies in Range 62 West, Townships 4 and 5 North, <br />Weld County. The proposed reservoir, along the bed of the South Platte River, <br />extends from Range 62 West through Range 64 West in Townships 4 and 5 North. <br />The entire dam and reservoir site lies in Weld County. <br /> <br />The overall length of the proposed taking in fee for the dam and reservoir <br /> <br />is approximately 13 airline miles. Including the flood easement the overall length <br />is approxi,mately 15 miles. The maximum width of the taking (at a point approxi- <br />mately 1 mile westerly of the dam site) is approximately 7 miles. <br />Elevation <br /> <br />Information obtained from the U. S.
