Section 5.1-3(3). Upon completion of the structure compliance to
the elevation r'equir'ement shall be cer'tified by a r'egister'ed
pr'ofessional engineer' Or' surveyor' Or' ver'ified by the local building
inspector'. Notification of compliance shall be r'ecor'ded as set
fOr'th in Section 4.3-3(2).

(3) Nonresidential construction shall either' be elevated in confo"l'mance
with Section 5.1-3(1) 01' (2) 01' together' with attendant utility and
sanitar'Y faailities.

(a) be floodpr'oofed so that below the base flood level the str'uctur'e
is water'tight with walls substantially impe"l'meable to the
passage of water'j

(b) have struatu"l'al components capable of r'esisting hydr'ostatic
and hydroodynamic loads and effects of bouyancy, and;

(c) be cer'tified by a r'egister'ed pr'ofessional engineer' or' ar'chitect
that the standa:rds of this subsection =e satisfied. Such
cer'tifiaations shall be pr'ovided to the official as set fOr'th
in Section 4.3-3(3).

(4) Mobile homes shall meet the above standar'ds and also thestandar'ds
in Section 5. 5.

(5) St1'Uctur'es in Coastal High Hazard Ar'eas shan meet the r'equiroements
of Section 5.7.

5.2 STANDARDS FOR STORAGE OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT

5.2-1 'The storage Or' pr'ocessing of m::J.te"l'ials that ar'e in time of flooding
buoyant, flammable, explosive, or' could be injur'ious to human, animal
or' plant life is pr'ohibited.

5.2-2 Sto"l'age of other' mater'ial Or' equipment may be allowed if not subject to
major' damage by floods and fi"l'mly anchor'ed to pr'event,flotation Or' if
r'eadily r'emovable fr'om the ar'ea within the time available after' flood
wa~ing.

, 5.3 STANDARDS FOR UTILITIES

5.3-1 All new and r'eplacement water' supply and sanitar'Y sewage systems shall
be designed to minimize Or' eliminate infiltr'ation of flood water's into
the system and disch=ge from systems into flood waters.

5.3-1 On-site waste disposal systems shall be located to avoid impai"l'ment to
them or contamination fr'om them during flooding.
