o
-'
-
C"':

c:;:

When a building, mobile home park or facility is substantially damaged, it
must be reconstructed to the standards of existing BLM policy, NFIP, other
federal regulation and county law. Some concessionaires were in the process
of constructing new facilities before the flood and plan to proceed with
these projects as soon as possible. When these proposed projects are in
the floodplain the required standards were also noted.

Recommended actions are those that are not mandated but the team believed
could be accomplished during reconstruction with minimal additional cost
and would be less subject to future damage or flood impact. In addition
several concessionaires were planning major reconstruction within the
next few years and the team recommended that the proposed development
plans be pursued at this time.

A package of general standards for floodplain development is included for
each concession and should be used when developing in the floodplain.

A-2
