14.819 voting-shares (324.822 inches) or 18.52 percent of the total
number of shares in the ditch. The City of Lakewood plans to
designate the new acreage as an alternate place of use for 14.569
voting-shares or 18.21 percent of the total number of shares in the
ditch. The 14.569 voting-shares are defined as the subject rights
of the Pioneer Union Ditch in this report. Lakewood's remaining
0.25 voting-share will be used for continued irrigation of the two
city nurseries, a temporary nursery located within Bear Creek Lake
Park and a permanent nursery located in the NW 1/4 of Section 34,
Township 4 South, Range 69 West (Figure 1).

Lakewood also leases 5 voting-shares of the Pioneer Union Ditch
from Evergreen. Lakewood plans to use those 5 voting-shares to
irrigate the golf course area located below the pioneer Union
ditch.

II.3 Hodqson Ditch

The Hodgson Ditch diverts water from ,the south side of Bear Creek
in Section 34, T4S, R69W, and runs easterly, tailing out into Bear
Creek approximately 1/4 mile east of Wadsworth Boulevard. In the
original District 9 adjudication the ditch was awarded two
irrigation priorities, shown in Table 1, that total 10.32 cfs. As
a result of five previous decreed transfers out the ditch (Table 2)
a total of 4.608 cfs remain decreed for diversion at the Hodgson
Ditch headgate.

The Hodgson Ditch is organized as a mutual ditch company with 400
shares of stock, each of which equals an inch. The City of
Lakewood claims ownership of 32.5 shares or 8.125 percent of the
total number of shares. A proportionate share of the ditch rights
equates to 0,8385 cfs. Lakewood plans to change the point of
diversion for their Hodgson Ditch rights to the pioneer Union Ditch
headgate.
