The Hodgson Ditch has been used for <br />irrigation of lands generally located in portions of Sections <br />34 and 35, T. 4 5., R. 69 W. of the 6th P.M., Jefferson <br />County, Colorado. The lands historically irrigable, down to <br />the nearest quarter sections, are shown on the map attached to <br />this Application as Exhibit A. The original Statement of <br />Claim for the Hodgson Ditch stated that the ditch was used to <br />irrigate 200 acres of land. A summary of the ditch's diver- <br />sion records for the Bear Creek priorities described above for <br />the yea~s 1938 to 1957 is attached to this Application as <br />Exhibit C. <br />5. PROPOSED CHANGES: <br />A. Alternate Place of Use. Although retaining the <br />decreed irrigation use for the water rights, Lakewood proposes <br />an alternate place of use of the Pioneer Union Ditch water <br />rights that it owns to portions of Sections 31, 32, and 33, T. <br />4 S., R. 69 w., in order to irrigate acreage above the Pioneer <br />Union Ditch and on the North and South sides of Bear Creek at <br />the Fox Hollow at Lakewood Golf Course, a 27-hole golf course <br />planned for construction in Bear Creek Lake Park. Lakewood, <br />however, proposes to reserve one quarter-share (5.48 inches) <br />, <br />for decreed irrigation uses within the decreed place of use <br />below the ditch at the City's nurseries, located within the <br /> <br />-5- <br />
