The 180 acres to be irrigated on the Fox Hollow at Lakewood Golf Course are located above and below the pioneer Union Ditch and on the South side of Bear Creek. The following is an estimate of the acreage distribution based ~n the golf course design shown in Figure 2. Location Below the Pioneer Union Ditch Above the Pioneer Union Ditch South side of Bear Creek Acreaae 31 135 -ll Total 180 The subject water rights will not be used to meet domestic, commercial or industrial type demands at the club house or maintenance shop. A separate domestic water supply is currently being pursued from the Bear Creek Water and Sanitation District which borders Bear Creek Lake Park in the vicinity of the golf course. Lakewood's main irrigation supply for the golf course is the direct flow water rights owned and leased in the Pioneer Union Ditch and Hodgson Ditch. Supplemental water supplies will consist of junior storage rights in Bear Creek Lake, non-tributary groundwater, Lakewood's 1990 direct flow and storage water rights, and water made available pursuant to an exchange of effluent leased from Denver. Other potential water sources are also being investigated for possible short term leases until storage in Bear Creek Lake is operational and to assure a firm water supply during the initial grow in period of the golf course.
