<br />2. The Summary Report and Volumes 2, 3 and 4 were <br />published in December 197B. <br /> <br />c. Objectives of the Assessment <br /> <br />1. Provide an overview of the Nation's water <br />supply and critical water supply problems for <br />1975, 1985 and 2000 and summarize significant <br />concerns. <br /> <br />2. Provide a national prospective regarding <br />existing (1975) and projected (1985 and 2000) <br />requirements for water for various uses. <br /> <br />3. Analyze the adequacy of fresh water supplies, <br /> <br /> <br />surface and ground, to meet existing and <br /> <br /> <br />future requirements. <br /> <br />4. Determine the socio-economic baseline (1975) <br />and growth projections (19B5 and 2000) on <br />which the water supply and water-use <br />projections are based. <br /> <br />5. Provide baseline water-supply data and <br />baseline and projected water-withdrawal and <br />water-consumption data, including an analysis <br />of monthly water adequacy. <br />
