Investigate possible means of augmentation of natural <br />water supplies of the upper and lower Colorado River <br />Basins from sources within the Basin, including weather <br />modification, desalting, water conservation and <br />geothermal. <br /> <br />4. Define critical water problems facing the eleven <br />western states. <br /> <br />3. Second National Water Assessment - The Nation's Water <br />Resources 1975-2000 <br /> <br />1. sponsoring Agency - U.S. Water Resources Council <br /> <br />a. Analysis for assessment were prepared for the <br /> <br /> <br />various water regions in the United States and <br /> <br /> <br />were accomplished by River Basin Commissions, <br /> <br /> <br />Inter-Agency Committees or State Agencies. <br /> <br />b. In Colorado the analyses for the Assessment were <br /> <br /> <br />conducted by the Missouri River Basin Commission, <br /> <br /> <br />the Arkansas - white - Red Basins Inter-Agency <br /> <br /> <br />Committee and the Upper Colorado River <br /> <br /> <br />commission. Regional Study teams under the <br /> <br /> <br />leadership of these three agencies performed the <br /> <br /> <br />actual field studies and analyses. Board staff <br /> <br /> <br />members served on these Regional study teams. <br />
