<br />- 2 - <br /> <br />.,hereas, the plans for federally finan~ed projects for flood con- <br />trol, reregulation and better use of native waters of other basins in Colo- <br />rado, as well as ir.1ported lvater fro!!! the Coloraco :1iver, require careful <br />interbasin programs and planning; and <br />~ereas, portions of Colorado' lie in three separate areas of the <br /> <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation regional organization, namely: The natural basin of <br /> <br /> <br />the Colorado HiveI' in Region 4, with h8adquarters at Salt Lake City, Utah; <br /> <br /> <br />the Rio Grande Basin, uith headquarters at ;'marillo, Texas; and the Arkansas <br /> <br /> <br />Basin, South Platte Basin, lIorth Platte .Jasin and ,(epublican River Basin in <br /> <br /> <br />Region 7, with headquarters at Denver, Colorado; and it is highly advisable <br /> <br /> <br />for the Colorado .iater Conservation 30ard to aid in integrating the activ- <br /> <br /> <br />ities of these three regional offices in the interests of a desirable water <br /> <br /> <br />developr.1ent progr~r. for the State; and <br /> <br /> <br />.,hereas, it is of prime inportance to expedite surveys, studies and <br /> <br /> <br />investigations by the Bureall of Reclanation and other federal agencies in <br /> <br /> <br />Western COlorado, particularly basin-~ide studies of the tributaries of the <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado ,1iver in the State, in order that present and potential uses in <br /> <br /> <br />that part of the State may beupprniDed at an early date; <br /> <br />NOll, THEREFORE, BE IT RE301'TJ7;D BY THE COLORADO dATER COliSERVATION <br /> <br /> <br />BOARD as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. That there be created a Folicy and Heview Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> <br />consisting of the follrnving: <br /> <br /> <br />(a) The Director, who shall be Chairman, Attorney, Consulting <br /> <br /> <br />Engineer and Chief En?-neer of the Colorado .iater Conser- <br /> <br /> <br />vation l3oard. <br />
