Recreational <br />rafting usage of the Gunnison River <br />would decrease. Hike-in angler use of <br />the Gunnison River Gorge would increase. <br /> <br />Short-term employment oppor~unities <br />Wduld increase as a result of <br />construction. Minor, long-term <br />employment could also change, due to <br />increased revenues to Montrose County <br />and the OVWUA. Development would <br />decrease employmene in the rafeing <br />industry and increase employment related <br />eo fishing. <br /> <br />No impacts would occur to cultural <br />resources except under alternative C, <br />which includes enlarging the Gunnison <br />Tunnel. <br /> <br />Short-term degradation of air quality <br />resulting from construction equipment <br />would occur.
