It is po:;>sible to regulate the now <br /> <br />of water into the Adams Tunnel and into Granby Reservoir from the <br /> <br />Shadow:Mountain Reservoir by these controls, The noor immediately <br /> <br />below the ground surface is at elevation 8272 al1d is the location of <br /> <br />the cable spreading room, The power to run the pumps Gomes from the <br /> <br />Green Mountain ,and the eastern slope power plants through 69,000 kv <br /> <br />transmission lines to the swi tchyard northeast of the building, The <br /> <br />p01'rer transformers in the sri tchyard step-down the voltage to 6,900 <br /> <br />volts for the pump motors, and power is carried to the building through <br /> <br />cables in a connecting underground tunnel into the cable spreading room, <br /> <br />This room might well be compared to a nerve center of the human bodY9 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />~. < <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
