Water Storage and Conveyance Feature~ Studied

Several reservoir locations "'ere ~ invesCigated for ,use in the
development of alternatives. Some of these alternatives . hav,e~, been
investigated previously by the Unl,ted States Bureau of Reclamation
(USBR) or other engineers, while. other sites have never beert formally
investigated. These dam ,and. reservoir locations <Ire shown in Figure, ~
I-I and briefly described below,.

Lower~Kendig

On Wes t Di vfde Creek below the Highline Dit ch
Diversion. Same site as .the USBR's Kendig Dam

Upper Kendig

On Wes t Divide Creek abolle thellighline Ditch
Diversion. This site was included so releases
could be made to the Highl1ne Ditch without
pumping.

Haystack

On Upper West Divide Creek. This is a site on
the main stem and not the offstream site stu.,.
died by the USBR in 1963 and 1964.

Dry Hollow

On lower Dry Hollow Creek; this is. the~ same
site as that studied by the USBR.

East ,Divide Creek

On, the lower reaches of East. Divide C~eek
above the diversion points of the major
ditches. This 'site has not previously been
formally investigated.

Upper Hamm

On the upper reaches of West Mamm Creek.- This
site has never before been formally,
investigated. This reservoir can service ,the
upper and lower halves of Hunter Mesa.

Lower Mamm

On West Mamm Creek just upstream of its
confluence wfth Middle Mainm Creek and East
Mamm Creek. This reservoir can service the
lower half of Hunter Mesa.

Upper Beaver

On .the upper _ reaches of Beaver Creel<.
