Utah Power and light may <br />approach the Electric Power Research Institute for <br />technical assistance. <br />Kanematsu-Gasho, Japanese Trading Company, briefing <br />on staging concept. <br />Briefings to update Arnold and Porter, Ernst and <br />Whinney, People's Natural Gas, as well as representatives <br />of the Commerce Department and the President's International <br />Trade Representative. <br />Spoke to the Fourth Annual Coal Handling and Storage <br />Symposium. <br /> <br />3.2 ANTICIPATED JULY AND AUGUST EVENTS <br /> <br />Formally propose Wyoming and Texas extensions to Reclamation <br />and Colorado River Basin States for their consideration. <br /> <br />Meeting to be scheduled with Utah Power and light and Arthur <br />D. little on potential use of Hunter Powerplant for demonstration <br />testing. <br /> <br />Meeting with Pacific Power and light Company and NERCO on <br />how project could serve Jim Bridger Powerplant water needs <br />and NERCO coal transport needs. <br /> <br />Meeting with los Angeles Department of Water and Power to <br />review technical and cost aspects of serving IPP and White <br />Pine. <br /> <br />Briefing in August for Wyoming coal and soda ash producers. <br /> <br />4.0 SUBTEAM: FINANCIAL/ECONOMIC (McKeever) <br />4.1 JUNE EVENTS <br /> <br />A meeting with W. R. Grace management in New York determined <br />that Grace would assume a minor share of equity in the project <br />causing a positive movement to identify other participants. <br />Ernst & Whinney are providing analysis of cash flow/financing <br />strategies for test loop, Stage I and Stage II. <br /> <br />Meetings regarding possible formation of joint venture partnerships: <br /> <br />Inter-Provincial Pipelines, Canada <br />Consolidation Coal (a subsidiary of Dupont) <br />Bechtel Corporation <br /> <br />2 <br />
