It is time the water users became
better informed and; have advanoe info~tion as to the state policy on development
of our water resources. .

STONE: May I repeat that we appreciate the Bure"u's allowing us to study
this advance report.

The Water B04rd will make further review and comment and these comments will
be available to the]people of Colorado.

I deem these:projects as most important to us and that the development of
this plan will be ajgreat step forward. We look for development in the immediate
future. However, b~fore we arrive at final conclusions I think that we must have a
meeting of the four';states concerned. We four states must either progress together
or go down together~ The Upper Basin Compact is of no value to us, whatsoever,
unless we set about ~o use the water.

.

CHAIRMAN: In; behalf of the people of the Arkansas Valley I wish to thank
the members of Colorado, the Water Conservation Board, their advisors, 11r. Tipton
and Mr. Breitenstein;;, and representatives of the Bureau of Reclamation for making
possible this meeting with the people of the Arkansas Valley.
