Upper Gunnison Proiect - A Concluding Report for <br />the P~oje~t was completed and released in August 1973. <br /> <br />b. Basalt Proiect - A Status Report for this project <br />has beeP completed. but it has not been released by the Commissioner <br />of Recl~~tion for distribution. <br /> <br />e. Grand Mesa Proiect - A Concluding Report for this <br />project w~s completed and released in January 1973. <br /> <br />~. Lower Yampa Proiect - Investigations continued <br />on thi~ p~oject, using the new planning procedures (Multi-objective <br />r1ann!Pg r~9cedures. MOP). Because of reduced project funding. the <br />investigation will be limited to a Status Report. Completion of <br />this ~ePo~t is presently scheduled for October of 1974. <br /> <br />e. Uncompahqre Proiect Improvement - A feasibility <br />study f9~ the project was initiated in FY 1974. Project investiga- <br />tions will utilize the new planning procedures. MOP. A mu1ti- <br />disciplipa~y, mu1tiagency team was organized to aid in this investi- <br />gation. A land classification and land use inventory of the project <br />area We~e started, with a completion date for the field work of <br />SeptemQe~ o~ October 1974. Field and office studies are also in <br />progres~ op drainage. agricu1tura~ economic. and environmental <br />conce~ns. <br /> <br />The aoard participated actively in the Bureau of <br />Reclamation's Irrigation Management and System Improvement Studies <br />in the Colorado River Basin. Two Board staff members are assigned <br />to the G~aPd Junction area to provide day-to-day input to these <br />studie~. Activities under way in FY 1974 are summarized below. <br /> <br />Irr~qation Manaqement <br /> <br />a. Grand Va11ev Unit - The irrigation scheduling <br />program on the Grand Valley Unit remained essentially the same as <br />in 1973. There was some reduction in total acreage covered by the <br />more detailed field-by-fie1d system to enable field representatives <br />
