Transmountain <br />diversions began in 1971 and have averaged about 110,000 acre-feet for the <br />period 1975 to 1980. Future authorized diversions are also expected to average <br />~10,000 acre-feet a. indicated by the Supplemental Project Report dated May <br />1957. aowever, recent hydrologic .tudies performed by the Southwest Region <br />indicate that the long-term 'average yield MaY b. elo..r to 104,500 acre-fe.t. <br /> <br />Navajo a.s.rvoir Evaporation <br /> <br />Res.rvoir evaporation is bas.d upon a 60-year Colorado Riv.r Storage Project <br />sequence study mad. in 1973. <br /> <br />Hogback Expan.ion <br /> <br />Minor incre.... in depletions are expected to occur b.tw.en now &ad year 1990. <br />Studies are underway by the Bureau of Indian Affairs aDd the Navajo Tribe to <br />determine aeditional water requirements in this area. <br /> <br />Utah International Inc. (Private Right) <br /> <br />The primary use under this right is the sale of water to Arizona Public Service <br />Company for the.five units of the Four Corners Powerplant. Aver..e historieal <br />use over the past 12 years has been 19,000 acre-feet. It is expected that <br />increased use of the five unitS at Four Corners, plus the traa.fer of up to <br />&,000 acre-feet to the San Juan Powerplant, will fully utilize the total right <br />of 39,000 acre-feet by year 1990. <br /> <br />Farmin~ton Municipal and Industrial <br /> <br />!he city of Farmington, New Mexico, is expected to develop additional water for <br />municipal and indu.trial u.e by year 1990 under rights held by the city. <br />Reeently, the city of Farmington expressed interest to the Southwest Region in <br />obtaining treated water from the proposed treatment plant or building t raw <br />water pump Itation in conjunction with the Gallup-Navajo Indian Water Supply <br />Project faciliti.... <br /> <br />Navajo Indian Irrigation Project <br /> <br />The project has now 5 of 11 planned development bloeks completed. The use of an <br />annual depletion figure on the project is not yet firm project operating cri- <br />teria. Varioul e.timate. for project agricultural u.e depletions have been <br />prepared, including the studies for an all-sprinkler irrigation 'Yltem prepared <br />
