<br />00235~J <br /> <br />82 <br /> <br />5 -4Z0 <br /> <br />1. 31 Restrict or prohibit subdivision of lands for uses <br />which are dangerous to health, safety or property _~ <br />in times of flood or which, with reasonably ~~* <br />anticipated improvements,'wil1 cause excessive <br />increases in flood heights or velocities. <br /> <br />1.32 Require that each subdivision lot in an area <br />vulnerable to floods be provided with a safe <br />building site with adequate access and that <br />public facilities which serve such uses be in- <br />stalled ,d th 'protection against flood damage <br />at the time of initial construction. <br />, , <br /> <br />1.33 Protect individuals from buying lands whioh are <br />unsuited for intended purposes because of flood <br />hazard by prohibiting the subdivision of unpro- <br />teoted flood hazard lands, requiring that flood <br />hazards areas be delineated on the final plat, <br />and areas not suitable for development be sub- <br />ject to deed restrictions. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.0 GENERAL PROVIS10NS <br /> <br />2.1 Lands to Which Ordinance Applies. This ordinance shall <br /> <br />apply to all lands withih the. jurisdiction of <br /> <br />(local <br /> <br />unit name) <br /> <br />including <br /> <br />(extraterritorial areas) <br /> <br />delineated as ~lood hazard areas on <br /> <br />\OltLClal map) <br />2.2 Compliance. No land shall hereafter be subdivided Or <br /> <br />used without full compliance with the terms of this <br /> <br />ordinance and other applicable regulations including <br />zoning, official maps, health codes, and other regula-' <br />tions whioh apply to uses within the jurisdiction of <br />this ordinance. <br /> <br />2.3 Abrogation and Greate,r Restrictions.
