<br />GLOSSARY <br /> <br />ABA Aggregated Subarea. May include two or more subareas shown on <br />maps and reports prepared by or for the U. S. Water Resources <br />Council for the 1975 Assessment. An ASA is designated by a <br />four digit number. For example ASA 1302 is in Region 13 or in' <br />the Rio Grande Region, and the 02 designates the second ASA of <br />the Region. <br /> <br />RG Rio Grande basin located within the three States of Colorado, <br />New Mexico, and Texas. The Rio Grande Region is one of the <br />21 planning Regions or basins selected by the U. S. Water <br />Resources Council for analysis in the 1975 Assessment. <br /> <br />GWH GIGAWATT-HOUR. One GWH equals one billion watt-hours of energy. <br />Or one GWH equals 1,000 megawatt-hours (MWH), or 1,000,000 kilo- <br />watt hours (KWH) of energy. <br /> <br />NA Not Available. Where data are not available to fill in all or <br />portions of a figure. <br /> <br />HCC Modified Central Case, estimates of economic and water data for <br />use in the 1975 Assessment as sponsored by the U. S. Water Re- <br />sources Council. <br /> <br />HeD Million gallons per day, equivalent to 1,120 acre-feet per year. <br /> <br />Region Drainage basin or basins selected by the U. S. Water Resources <br />Council to be analyzed and reported on for the 1975 Assessment. <br />Rio Grande Region for example. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />SMSA <br /> <br />SPA <br /> <br />SRF <br /> <br />Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area as defined by the Office <br />of Management and Budget in the Executive Office of the Presi- <br />dent. For example, El Paso County, Texas, in ASA 1302 has been <br />designated an SMSA. <br /> <br />Specific Problem Analysis, the portion of the 1975 Assessment <br />performed by the Regional Sponsors under agreements with the <br />Water Resources Council. The purposes of the SPA are to artic- <br />ulate the State-Regional viewpoint concerning water-related <br />problems and to provide information for use in the national <br />priorities analysis of the 1975 Assessment. <br /> <br />State-Regional Future, includes descriptions of State-Regional <br />goals and objectives and supporting tables as defined by the <br />Regional Sponsor for a Region or portion of a Region as part <br />of the Specific Problem Analysis of the 1975 Assessment. <br /> <br />TH Technical Memorandum, a report prepared by the Regional Sponsor <br />for a portion of the Specific Problem Analysis of the 1975 <br />Assessment. <br /> <br />WRC U. S.
