Lyon Storage <br />Canal shall be of quality, quantity, and continuity to meet the requirements of use for which <br />the water has normally been put. <br /> <br />10) conditions on both the rate of flow and volume of future exchanges <br /> <br />11) transit losses or transit credits are administered by the Division Engineer <br /> <br />12) rights to exchange are prioritized <br /> <br />13) accounting, operation, and administration are made on a daily basis <br /> <br />14) up to two additional check structures may be required in canal <br /> <br />15) Retained jurisdiction for 20 years <br /> <br />AGRICULTURAL IMPACTS - This sale resulted the drying up of approximately 40,000 acres <br />of land in Crowley County and decreased the irrigated farming economy in the County as well as <br />all other agricultural related economies with the exception of the livestock industry, <br /> <br />ECONOMIC IMPACTS - Impacts to real estate tax base of the area, including schools and <br />local governments, the local economy, not only Crowley County, but in the surrounding area <br />because of the loss of agricultural dollars. <br /> <br />(J <br /> <br />SOCIAL IMPACTS - Hastened the outward migration for the area. Reduced 'potential for <br />young farmers. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS - Left large areas of the Crowley County unfarrned and <br />unattended, noxious weeks and dust became a problem.
