In periods of better run-off <br /> <br />the full 6,000 acres would be fully supplied each year. <br /> <br />With the Rifle Gap Plan, the reduction in maintenance costs <br /> <br />to be realized from reconstruction of the Grass Valley Canal, <br /> <br />and amounting to fully $1.500 per year, is expected to be about <br /> <br />offset by the increased cost of distributing water to the added <br /> <br />irrigated area, arrlounting to 2,400 acres.
