Cooperative Studies and Activities <br /> <br />(a) Article VIII G (1) of the Arkansas River Compact requires <br />the Administration to cooperate with the Chief Official of <br />each of the States of Colorado and Kansas charged with the <br />administration of water. rights in their respective States, and <br />with the Federal agencies in systematically determining and <br />correlating the facts pertaining to the flow and diversion of <br />the waters of the ArkCj.nsas River and to the operation and <br />siltation of John Martin Reservoir and other related structures. <br />Article VIII.G (2) requests the Director of the United States <br />Geological Survey, the Commissioner of the United States Bu- <br />reau of Reclamation, and "the Chief of Engineers, United States <br />Army, to cooperate and collaborate with the Administration <br />and with appropriate State officials in such determinations and <br />correlations of streamflow and related data.
