<br />- 16 - <br /> <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />on land use and status, estimation of the water resource and present and <br />potential projects will be initiated in Calendar Year 1970, continued <br />through ensuing field seasons, and completed during the winter of 1973-74 <br />following the close of the summer work season. <br /> <br />Necessary soil a.nd vegetative cover information, inspection of watershed <br />areas, and field checking of land and water use and management, appraisal <br />of upstream watersheds to determine sediment and erosion problems, flood- <br />water, sediment and erosion da.ma.ges to rural land and property, and <br />estimation of needs for irrigation, drainage, recreation and fish and <br />wildlife, and related requirements will be started during FY 1971 and <br />extend through the succeeding two field seasons. <br /> <br />In FY 1972, the economic base study will be completed together with <br />analysis of existing land and water uses and projections of future <br />requirements. Hydrologic data inventory and appraisal of project impacts <br />and requirements will be completed. Physical data will be assembled and <br />tabulated and maps will be prepared as completed studies permit.
