The operation <br />was discontinued after October. Releases during October varied between 4 and 13 ft3/s. For the <br />period November through January, a constant release into Willow Creek of 7 ft3/s was maintained. <br /> <br />Lake Granby-East Slope Terminal Storal!e <br /> <br />The storage in Lake Granby of 176,678 acre-feet at the beginning of the Water Year was 261,322 <br />acre-feet below the 30-year average. Terminal storage at Carter and Horsetooth reservoirs totaled <br />67, I3 I acre-feet on October I, 2002, significantly higher than the year before, when only 40,535 <br />acre- feet was reported for the same day. Terminal storage has been lower than normal during the past <br />couple of years, due to the construction work taking place at Horsetooth Reservoir. <br /> <br />Approximately 76,100 acre-feet of water was diverted to the East Slope between October and <br />January of the 2003 Water Year, 469 acre-feet below the 3D-year average. Pumping from Granby <br />Reservoir to Shadow Mountain Reservoir was 73.443 acre-feet during the same period. A total of <br />53,985 acre-feet of water was pumped to Carter Lake. while 19,100 acre-feet was delivered to <br />Horsetooth Reservoir. By the end of January, Carter Lake storage was 99,588 acre-feet, while <br />storage at Horsetooth Reservoir was 22,755 acre-feet. Pumping to Carter Lake was interrupted in <br />late January. <br /> <br />16 <br />
