The proposed "Will Be" recommended that the Office be renamed as the Corporate Information
Center and report to the Washington Liaison Office. The proposal also recommended that a .
statistical reporting function be transferred to the CIC from the Office of Power Marketing. The
final "Will Be" establishes a Corporate Affairs Management Office reporting to the Administrator.
The CAM Office Will be headed by a Corporate Affairs Manager, who will also assume the duties
of the Executive Assistant. The office will have one quality specialist supporting Western's
quality management efforts, three corporate information specialists, and one technical information
specialist as modified from the proposed "Will Be." This structure better supports Western's
quality and corporate information efforts, while eliminating a management position, In addition,
the six support service contractors (technical writers and graphics illustrators) will support this
office as well as the rest of West em. Employee comments argued for increased staffing to
accomplish the corporate library function, Senior managers detennined that no staff would be
added in the immediate future and the issue could be addressed later.

Final staffing level: 6 FTE, 6 contractor

All functions in the Administrator's Office will cominue process improvement efforts, with a goal
of reducing FTE levels where appropriate.

7
