<br />APPENDIX "D-l" <br /> <br />Approved Amendments <br />to the Bylaws of the Arkansas <br />River Compact Administration <br /> <br />(Approyed Amendments in bold lace) <br /> <br />,= <br /> <br />ART{CLE II, PARAGRAPH 1 <br />l.'The officers 01 the Administration shall be: <br />Chairman <br />Vice Chairman <br />Secretary <br />Assistant Se-cretary <br />Treasurer <br /> <br />,= <br /> <br />ARTICLE II, PARAGRAPH 4 <br />-48. The Secretary mayor may not be a member 'of the <br />Administration. He shall be elected by the Administration at its annual <br />meeting and shan serve until the next annual meeting and until his <br />successor is elected, except that he may be elected at any meeting of <br />the Admimstration prior to the holding of the first annual meeting. and <br />in such case shall hold office until such annual meeting. In the case of <br />a vacancy in the office of Secretary. the Administration shall, at its <br />next meeting. whether regular or special, elect a Secretary to serve for <br />the unexpired term. The Secretary shall perform such duties, except <br />for those specified in paragrah 4[bl [il, (iil, and [iiil, as are usually <br />imposed on such an on lcer and such as may be assigned to him by <br />'these by-laws or by the Administration from time to time. He shall <br />furnish a bond for the faithful performance of his duties if the <br />Administration so directs, The cost of such bond shall be paid by the <br />Administration. <br />b. The Assistant Secretary may be the Division Engineer Cor <br />Division 2, Colorado Division of Water Resources. His particular <br />duties shall be as follows: <br />[i] To regulate the gates of John Martin Reservoir in ac- <br />cordance with the Compact and any operating plans or <br />procedures adopted thereunder and to keep the Secretary fully <br />inCormed of the actions which he has taken in this regard. <br />[ii] To keep accurate daily records on the water stored in John <br />'Hartin Reservoir including all matters appurtenant thereto such <br />as the amount of water rrsiding in or being tansferred to special <br />reservoir accounts. evaporation of water Crom the reservoir <br />which is to be prorated among such accounts and the deter- <br />mination of transit losses and the procedures for computing <br />such in all matters regarding water being transferred to or Crom <br />said reservoir and accounts therein. <br />[iiil To prepare an accurate annual report of the deliveries of <br /> <br />-49- <br />
