<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Directors

<br />Thursday, Dec, 16, 1965

<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Colorado
<br />Water Conservancy District was held at the office of the District, 900 North
<br />Main Street, Pueblo, Colorado, on Thursday, December 16. 1965
<br />
<br />The following directors were present:

<br />Mr. J. Sid Nichols, President, presided and Mr. Kenneth Shaw, Secretary,
<br />aeted as secretary for the meeting.
<br />
<br />The President announced that a l\uorum was present and the meeting was
<br />ready for the transaction of business.
<br />
<br />The minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors held at the District
<br />office in Pueblo on November 19, 1965, were read and, motion being duly made,
<br />8econded~ and carried, were declared approved.
<br />
<br />Mr. Boustead read a letter from the Booth Orchard Grove Ditch expressing
<br />interest in joining the District. This was referred to the appropriate committee
<br />for consideration.
<br />
<br />Mr. James Shoun presented the Treasurer's report and moved that the
<br />current bills of the District be approved for payment. Seconded by Mr. Dave
<br />Ciruli. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />ll'he committee for studying flood control prOblems and the possible need
<br />for a legislative change in the Conservancy Distriet has not yet met but has been
<br />giving considerable. thought to the problems involved.
<br />
<br />A motion was made by Mr. Young, seconded by Mr. Christy, that the
<br />General Mana.ger be authorized to initiate the necessary procedure to petition
<br />for annexation of the Districts' property on Hiway 50 to the City of Pueblo.
<br />
<br />Mr, Ogilvie gave a progress report on the Fryingpan Project. A total
<br />of 2900 reet of tunnels has been drilled so far, Bids on road relocations at
<br />Reudi Reservoir were considerably under the engin~ering estimates. The
