Emphasize the interpretive themes of water, wildlife, <br />cultural resources and geology. <br /> <br />10. Signing <br /> <br />Signing within the Management Area is in accordance with National <br />Forest signing policies and standards. Sufficient signs are <br />installed to provide adequate information and guidance to persons <br />who may be unfamiliar with the area, and to provide proper <br />identification of National Forest System lands. Traffic control <br />signs that conform to National Standards have been installed to <br />regulate road traffic in the interest of public safety. <br /> <br />11. Winter Activities <br /> <br />Winter recreation opportunities exist at the McPhee Reservoir <br />Managment Area through the winter months of November through <br />March. These opportunities include hunting, ice fishing, <br />snowmobiling, crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing. Management of <br />public use in these activities is as follows: <br /> <br />a. Winter Access <br /> <br />Motorized vehicle use is not permitted within wildlife management <br />areas from December 1 through April 30. This restriction applies <br />to the entire House Creek drainage, including developed sites, <br />from the Dolores-Norwood Road to Beaver Creek, and the east side <br />of the management Area from House Creek to the town of Dolores, <br />This restriction is necessary to minimize harassment of wintering <br />deer and elk in these areas. <br /> <br />Roads accessing the reservoir and development sites outside of <br />the seasonal closures will not be snow-plowed by the Forest <br />Service. However, some of these roads may be plowed by the <br />county or others if winter activity use is high enough to demand <br />it. The roads accessing the Great Cut Dike and McPhee Dams and <br />
